PS3 FW4.78 compatible
Wednesday, April 6, 2016

We continuously test the RE·BL with the latest PS3 firmware releases (including the just released v.4.78). We're happy to announce that RE·BL (as expected) is working flawlessly with all PS3 verson (both the classic PS3, PS3 Slim and PS 3 Super Slim), as well as all associated firmware versions, since the release of the first RE·BL.

With the RE·BL, we have the option of releasing free firmware upgrades for both the microcontroller and Bluetooth® stack as part of our configuration software, something not found on most other competing solutions. This ensures that we can add features and maintain compatibility now and in the future.

Windows 10 compatibility
Tuesday, December 1, 2015

After the release of the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system, the RE·BL configuration software has been put through a comprehensive test, and we're glad to add Windows 10 (both 32 and 64 bit versions) to the list of supported operating systems.

The configuration software is now supported under any Windows version since Windows 2000.

RE·BL X released!
Tuesday, February 23, 2010

A new enhanced version of RE·BL, the IR to Bluetooth® adaptor for PS3, code named "RE·BL X" has been released today.

After launching the original RE·BL (classic version) almost a year ago, we have received much positive feedback, as well as many different ideas and suggestions for improvements or updates. Many of the suggestions have been implemented in one of several firmware/software updates released over the past year, while some required minor and major hardware modifications.

RE·BL X (extended version) is the result of the feedback and suggestions we have received, and we now believe we have the most advanced and well working solution for controlling a PS3 using virtually any IR remote control on the market.

The major improvement over the original RE·BL, is the IR port which now supports almost any kind of IR signaling, demodulated signals from an external IR eye, or modulated signals from an IR distribution network. An auto-sense function chooses between the different input modes automatically.
One of the most interesting new features of the IR port, is the ability of RE·BL X to work as an IR repeater. This is very useful for A/V devices placed in a closed rack. RE·BL X will take any signal received from the internal IR receiver, and transmit it to a single, dual or quad IR emitter cable connected to the IR port, while still providing the usual functionality of IR to Bluetooth conversion.
Read more about the IR-port.

(Since RE·BL X keeps all current features from the RE·BL (classic version) and is available at the same retail price, RE·BL (classic version) will no longer be produced or sold).

RE·BL X is available now from most dealers, and from the wb_webstore.
