History for RE·BL
1.29 Build - Tuesday, September 11, 2012
[New features]
Added support for displaying the last valid IR command received.
Added support for transmitting / teaching IR commands, especially useful for teaching other remotes the IR commands used by RE-BL X. (Note: The teach/learn capability depends on the sensitivity of the receiving remote control, as the transmit power of the RE-BL X is limited)

The RE-BL X is able to teach all IR codes to a learning remote control, by using the configuration software.

The button remap feature has been extended to support mapping all valid IR commands to all PS3 Bluetooth commands.
1.28 Build - Friday, April 27, 2012
[New features]
Extended the keymapping feature to include all keys.
It is now possible to map each IR command to any PS3 command available including the custom macros.

This is an advantage for users having limited options for configuring their IR remote control. Instead they can reconfigure the functionality of an IR command to another PS3 command.
1.27 Build - Wednesday, November 2, 2011
[New features]
A discrete power-on command has been added, making it possible for the user to enable discrete power-on in combination with any of the power-tracking options. Using discrete power-on will block all valid IR commands, when the PS3 is turned off, except for the power-on command.
This is useful for avoiding turning on the PS3 by accident, when you are powering off devices.
1.26 Build - Friday, February 4, 2011
A small bug in v1.25 caused the software to sometimes crash when prompting for firmware-updates.
1.25 Build - Friday, January 28, 2011
[New features]
Added a feature to re-map certain remote control buttons. It is now possible to map the button "Return" on a standard IR remote control to the PS3 function "O / BACK". This is usable for remote controls that does not have the "O" (Circle) for navigating back in the XMB menu.
This feature will also make it possible to swap the function of X and O, to match Asian PS3's where the X is Back and O is OK.

A messagebox now appears before a firmware upgrade is performed, making it possible for the user to decide if the firmware upgrade should be performed now.
1.24 Build - Wednesday, June 2, 2010
RE·BL Configuration software v1.24:
[New features]
Default power-off macro powertoggle holdtime updated from 2500ms to 3750ms for improved Playstation 3 Slim compatibility.
Custom radio module installation added, making it possible to write custom radio module, erase radio module and restore original radio module.
Spanish language added.

RE-BL X firmware v2.05:
Under rare conditions after changing batteries, RE-BL X would no longer pair or operate the PS3. A reconfiguration by software was then nescessary to reset the device to work again. It is recommended to upgrade to v2.05.

RE-BL classic firmware v1.24:
[New features]
Improved IR response in battery / power-saving mode.

Under rare conditions after changing batteries, RE-BL classic would no longer pair or operate the PS3. A reconfiguration by software was nescessary to reset the device to work again.

Please note: RE·BL Configuration software automatically upgrades firmware on RE·BL classic and RE·BL X when connecting the hardware using a USB cable.
1.23 Build - Tuesday, March 2, 2010
[New features]
All languages updated.
1.22 Build - Tuesday, February 16, 2010
[New features]

1.21 Build - Tuesday, December 8, 2009
After using the "Restore to default settings" feature, the autopairing feature would become inactive unless the user pressed "Save" before exitting.
1.20 Build - Tuesday, October 20, 2009
A missing external library in the setup-file prevented the RE·BL configuration software v1.19 from working on some Windows versions without the relevant library.
1.19 Build - Friday, September 18, 2009
[New features]
Firmware 1.23: Added an autopairing function. RE·BL will now automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode for the first 20 seconds after power on, without waiting for any button presses on the IR remote.

Italian language added.
1.18 Build - Thursday, July 9, 2009
[New features]
Updated IR table to include power and eject commands from the standard Sony DVD remote (26.73). This does not affect universal remotes like Harmony and Pronto, but makes it possible to power on/off the PS3 and eject a disc with a Sony DVD remote, or other universal remotes that emulates the Sony DVD remote.
1.15 Build - Thursday, May 28, 2009
[New features]
Bluetooth pairing is now possible directly from the software.

You can use USB and batteries simultaneously to supply power to the RE·BL X. Power is then drawn from the PS3 when it is powered-on, and from batteries when the PS3 is not in use.
